Lauren LaStrada, is an actress, singer, published author and motivational speaker. She is the recipient of 6 Best Actress Awards and 5 nominations, for her work in Stage and Film. She is a member of The Screen Actors Guild, American Federation of Radio and Television Artists and The Actors Equity Association. She has studied classical piano, violin, french horn, latin dance and is also a former competitive figure skater. She is alumni of The Lee Strasberg Theater Institute and The Detroit High School For The Fine and Performing Arts.
Most recently, Lauren wrapped work on her latest film, 'No Sudden Move' as the role of "Clarisse", set to stream on HBO Max and directed by Steven Soderbergh.  She is also this year's recipient of a Best Supporting Actress award for the stage production of 'Ain't Misbehavin', presented by The Wilde Awards. 
For her work in the feature film 'Wild Faith', she received her 3rd, 4th and 5th Best Actress awards from The 2018 International Christian Film Festival, The 2019 Wild Bunch International Film Festival and The 2019 Hollywood Divine International Film Festival. 'Wild Faith' was screened at The Burbank International Film Festival. TV/Film credits include guest starring roles on the Lifetime Movie Network, NBC, ABC, BET, a host of commercials and voiceovers.
As a stage performer and actress, Lauren has had the honor of working with Broadway performers such as tap dancer Ted Louis Levy,  Dancer/Actress and Choreographer Debbie Allen, Actor and Director Vondie Curtis-Hall and for her run at The Riverside Theatre in Harlem, NY she was directed by Mikell Pickney. For her role as Billie Holiday in 'Lady Day At Emerson Bar and Grille' she received a Best Actress nomination by the 2018 Wilde Awards.
As a recording artist, she has performed her original works in Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Las Vegas, Atlanta and Los Angeles. In 2005 she released her debut, "Rock Steady" A mix of funk, rock and alternative, the album appeared on Billboards 'Artist to Know' list. Lauren has also been featured in magazine publications: B-List, Big Magazine, Radio and Records, Rhythmic Soul and Venus Diva Magazine. She self-published her first book, Simple Wisdom in 2009.
For her contributions to arts in schools and community, Lauren was a recipient of the Spirit Of Detroit Award in 2016.  She speaks regularly for outreach programs, conferences and churches. 
She is currently seeking management and agency representation.
